Help me with my ad. I have put my horse on horsemart link below and loads of people have looked at the ad and I have had one phone call (who cancelled coming to see her). What is wrong with the ad. I have called a dealer and they said they were not interested because she is chestnut and not a novice ride (surely this is not why other people are not calling) I would be very grateful for your coments. http://www.horsemart.co.uk/AdvertRef/HM7...HorseDetail.asp

she looks lovely. one thing i would change is the 34 bsja points it is either sjai points or bsja pounds. sometimes people think that if it has points it has only just been imported over from ireland.

well I did put her on for £4250. and got no calls so droped the price, Good home is more important to me, I have her on regumate which has totally changed her, she is so sweet since she has been on it.

The ad looks absolutely fine, unfortunatley theres a lot of time wasters about at present, there a 2 horses currently for sale on my yard and their owners have been let down by potential purchasers several times either that or they come out and then admit that they've just started riding and are looking for something just to hack on (were a competiton yard)..

i would have come to see her! the ad reads fine theres no point in lying and saying shes easy! the right person will eventually ring and she'll be happy with them!!!

why do people always sell horses that look perfect for me, when i'm not looking for a horse!?!
she looks lovely and i would call to buy her if i was looking
xx

each point is £2.50 in pounds. it makes a lot of difference if you want to do BN. good luck with the ad

I am not a competitive rider, so can't comment from that point of view but my first thought was why haven't you put anything about her being good in traffic? I would immediately assume that she isn't good. Also, the second photo doesn't do it for me - a nice photo of her standing up properly with no tack on to show her conformation would be better. What is her temperament like? As soon as prospective buyers know she is on Regumate, they might be put off. These comments are constructive btw and in no way meant as a critiscsm. Good luck with selling her.

You could try advertising on horseselect to attract the more competitive market. Advert reads ok but to me she seems a bit cheap?

I agree that the second photo isn't doing her justice and certainly doesn't say 'sports horse' to me.

The first photo could also be better - it's quite dark and the fence dominates the picture rather than the horse. I personally prefer side-on jumping pictures as it's easier to see the their style over a fence.

thank you very much for coments I thought about a side on pick to show conformation have been waiting for a nice day when I have been off work to take it, bloody weather.

Try either Horse Deals or Horequest. The only thing I would change in the advert is take out the can jump and make it jumps and possibly have a picture which shows her confirmation

She sounds smashing. And I'm sure you have priced her incredibly reasonably. I would be inclined to have at least another grand on her.

However, I was immediately put off by the second photo. She looks fat and sour in that particular shot.

Take it out - and either just have the one photo, or take another one of her stood up for a confirmation shot.
