Please ignore, the process of writing the thread put my thoughts in order!

I’m always keeping an eye for children’s ponies and looking at adverts and for these two would say about £2000. Unfortunately young ponies are hard to sell as most parents want ones that have been there and done it which makes the 5 year old harder to sell.

The 12.2hh would be easier to sell so I would go with that and keep the 5 year old and bring on a bit, get out and about and perhaps sell in a year or two.

For context I just had a friend sell a 20 year old 12.2hh for £2000. He was a perfect lead rein/ first pony been there got the t shirt still active in pony club/ mini show jumping & xc. Safe as they come. So although a couple years older, I don’t think realistically you would get more than 2k

Sorry I must have replied as you deleted 🤣
I have spent hours looking at ads, concluded both that prices are literally all over the place and that realistically I need to get both out competing and then reassess. How well they do there will determine an awful lot.

(The 5yo might terrify the living daylights out of my daughter in which case decision made 🤣!)
