...to my new project
His name is Bart, he's a 6yo ex-racer by Anshan.
The photos don't really do him justice, as he wasn't up for posing.
I don't think he looks too bad for a horse who's been out in the field for the last 12months, with no rugs or hard feed.
He broke down on both front legs last year, was re-scanned last week, and, whilst the vet thought it would be worth trying to race him again, his owner felt it would be too much of a risk, which is why he's looking for a new career.
My plan is to do a few weeks of road work with him, then start flatwork schooling and aim to have him out doing dressage in a couple of months time, and then see how it goes from there.
