I am about to put my mare on the market.. (coloured in my piccie )

could i have some thoughts on prices pretty pretty please... wine and choccies for all!

16.2 m/w mare well breed, registered sports horse. 5yo tb x wb
overstamped bspa/chaps

excellent to do in all ways loads trailer/box will hold a leg on a bucket whilst you clip under her armpits, comes to call, NEVER marish, not even when in season, can be handled by anyone

well schooled, does the basic laterals, aswell as just starting half pass / changes

has been x country schooled and was impressively bold not stopping at anything
sj to 2"9 used to fillers water trays etc

excellent to hack alone/company/groups fab on moorland/open spaces and perfect with the heaviest traffic (even england flags dont bother her)

comp history.. ive mainley showed her always affliated and to county level, never unplaced and many wins under her belt, also has several qualifiers for SWPA champs, Equifest and royal london.
one first dressage test with 76%

IMO ive produced her to be a show horse but she was bred to event and she really does have a huge amount of talent both sj and x country. so would make an ideal amatures horse or teenagers/pc home.
although a 5 yr she has been ridden by total novices and is the type you can put a kid on for a sit on and walk around.. dont get me wrong she is still a baby!

so price.. what do we all think?

She looks lovely. If she was 7 and had done all that I would snap your hand off, but Im wary of a 5yr old that has done so much too soon. Many people will be interested at the right price. I'd go on for sale web sites and see what similar equines are fetching. Thats what I do when I want to sell a horse. You must have an idea of what you would like to achieve price-wise?

she hasnt done that much ..

ive had her nearnly a year and shes been turned away for 4 months aswell

comp wise 6 or 7 shows normally doing 3 classes per show, one dressage and will be going to do her first sj this weekend

jumping wise she has done very little, as in terms of how many times a week etc.
she has been produced largley on the ground to ensure when ridden theres no ifs or buts.. which her x country schooling showed it paid off, as she was bold and happy to take on the fences.
schooling wise, she is so intelligent and generally if ive been teaching, turn on the forehand etc its done form the ground then with a rider, shes never schooled for more 20 mins at a time. short sharp bursts rewarded with a hack on a lose rein type thing.

price.. yes i have a figure but im not sure if im way out or not.

If she's county level show potential maybe £5-6k? I'm no expert on showing prices.

Why are you selling her?

5k. I would advertise for more and set that as my bottom price.

due to time and i dont have the finances to keep competing at the level she is at. Ie do the biggies like royal london equifest etc. she loves her jumping and i dont really jump much so she also a bit wasted. i thought i had a rider for her to event her etc but circamstances have changed all round. also for her to event etc i cant really keep her in show condition.. so it would be one or the other.. if im not showing then she will be with the rider.. then whats the point? i dont mean that in a sulky way.

I'd want to know a bitmore about what shes doenand where - eg what classes and shows were her wins at? And the dressage - very impressive percentage!

Also hard to tell without a proper conf. photo. Anywhere between £4000 - £6000. I know thats a wide range but hard to be specific without seeing more.

Sounds lovely!

showing wise all affliated.. chaps, swpa, and devon county. currently have more bigs shows planned and was going to do search for a star this year but i just dont have the time.

class wise, weve been placed/won in all types,
hunter
coloured
riding horse
comp horse
sports horse
won and places are both ridden and inhand.

dressage was only a prelim.. nout exciting and to be fair it was at a local show.. lol i had a few complaints saying i shouldnt of been in the class.. BUT it was mares 1st ridden anything.

I think you should wait until I'm back in the UK and sell her to me for £3k.

Seriously though, I think you could easily ask £6k, possibly at bit more with room for negotiation.

If you were not in Devon I would snap your hand of for her! Currently looking for one at the moment, all horses I have seen advertised at her age and with similar (ish) potential have been between 5k and 8k :)

Move her up to Watford and yes please! Just cant travel quite that far and am in Notts/leics at uni at the moment! She actually sounds just like what I am looking for and is within budget - but I cant travel that far and wont buy unseen :(
