Please price this pony- eek a how much post!

14.2 Irish Sports Pony (Connemara x)
Pretty & affectionate 12 yo grey mare with superb temperament. Talented pony with good paces and lateral work so would do pure dressage. Misty has a lovely jump and is a super allrounder but needs a confident rider to make her work to her full potential.
Hacks in company/alone & easy to clip/shoe/box.

Its for a friend, sorry...just want opinions of price.

They are suggesting £1995 including saddle.

I would have priced her more 3.5k+ probably more

Thats what I thought- TBH I dont know about the whole"needs confident rider thing" whether it is just a strong willed pony or a cow! Will ride her I think then can have an opinion.

Providing 'not novice ride' doesn't mean shes mentel then £3/3.5?

She is not mental, that I know, just unsure of what sort of rider would suit her. I think she needs riding into jumps or she takes the P that is all.

That low price would make me smell a rat...Why not put "no novices" so you screen out some pot unsuitable buyers. £3,500 ono wd sound more convincing...

sounds about right tbh for a 12yr old who reading between the lines has not actually done much competing of any note? 'would do' works fine on a 5/6yr old!

bargain they wont have problems selling for that. i know one very similar that need a confident rider that sold for £4500

I dont think she's hugely under priced and certainly wouldnt pay £3.5k for it TBH because it doesnt have any competition experience does it? And at 12, its sort of limiting its career already. I have sold the odd pony who has been brought on and is out competing in all spheres for £2500.
