PLEASE READ LINK - recovery eq

Didn't realise that was!!! I don't work for them I've used it in the past and now use it on cushings pony, every recommendation must be advertisement then surely?

I used this product for three years there one with HA and one without its excellent stuff but boy its expensive i got my from Allivet very good company shipping is also expensive. I would recommed you buy this on credit card if it gets lost your insured. Some horses will not eat it as it has a strong taste and smell but it was for my cob so no problems there. I highly recommend this stuff I just couldnt afford it anymore and my horse went sound.

Oberon Look on the links this is really amazing stuff along with his injuries my cob has wingalls all round and they went and have never came back. Also part of his treatment was irap so could have been either if honest but it is really good just wish i could still afford it has would never have taken my cob of it.

Is there anything in there not found in a normal joint supplement?

it's very expensive £120 for 1kg and the below is the blurb:

Recovery®EQ contains Nutricol® a proprietary mix of proven ingredients purified from grapes and green tea (no caffeine). Nutricol® decreases trauma - from chronic lameness, surgery, injury & over-training - by both increasing the cell's resistance to damage & improving it's ability to repair damage.

so green tea and grapes eh.

Looking at the ingredients they are all things available in a horse that has access to grass and a fibre based mineral balanced diet with adequate protein.

Vitamin C is not needed additionally - and excess can make iron overload (common) even worse.

B vitamins are rarely required

You can add Vit E cheaply

and silicon, MSM and glucosamine are only tenuously researched as beneficial.

Plus 'Nutricol'.....feed herbs more cheaply.

It would be cheaper to analyse a horse's forage and balance the minerals by an independent party, than to put faith in a magic supplement (or just use NAF products because they are magical and fabulous).

My horse had severe collatrall ligament damage and djd After a year on and of box rest and 13 tousand pound vet bill newmarket and a another vets said pts there was no hope he was seventeen at the time Lucky had another vet and we did do irap.
