Between Sunday night and Monday morning somebody broke into our RC showground at Ticknall in South Derbyshire and stole a large number of our jumps.

These are the most distinctive jumps you've ever seen so they should be very recognisable if anyone tries to sell them on. They include jumps shaped like Winnie the Pooh, Fishes, Trees, Daisies, Tigers and Ladybirds. If anyone is approached by someone selling jumps or sees them at a local auction please let the police know.

Unless the jumps are recovered there is a good chance we won't have any more shows this season and goodness knows what will happen next season.

I know thats likely but can only hope they are stupid! Some of the poles are plastic so wouldn't be easily painted. I can't see the point of stealing all the novelty fillers and then repainting them though. If you repaint a sheep shaped filler its still going to look like a sheep.

You'll have probably thought of this, but can you keep an eye on ebay. Also, put a circular to ALL the riding clubs & pony clubs in the UK, you'll find contact details on the BRC website. I know that our RC circulates things like this to all the members, via their email bulletins.

Hopefully by contacting all the members of all the clubs, that'll spread a wide net.

Thanks everyone. They're probably half way to Cornwall by now but you never know.

Just hate to think that might be the end of our RC if we can't find the money to replace them. :(

I was really sad and angry when i heard about this (via the email sent out), i was up helping out on sunday (with Sam & Gilly) and saying how nice the fences were! plus they were the first lot of jumps i completed when i started competing again last year!

I believe its melton market this weekend, may be worth seeing if someone could have a quick look, its unlikely but you never know...
