What breed is yours? Amigo's do come up tighter on the shoulders as do Rambo's. I'v always found Masta's are better for broader horses, they do a checktech light turnout for around £50
I put an anti rub vest under his rugs and he's fine, they do fit snuggly around the shoulders, however don't restrict his movement. They're the only rugs I'v found that don't slip, great quality and long lasting. They do come up small so if you do go for one buy the next size up!
Just bought the new Amigo lightweight yesterday in red - lovely rug (I think its 600 denier though) but it came up tight. I had already written her name on the tail though (oops....)....will see how it goes!
Thank you for the replies. Decided to try the amigo light weight for now. If they aren't all they are cracked up to be I will try the premier equine one next! Managed to get two of the 600D ones for £60 including postage so will see if they do the job!
Another vote for the premier equine 40/70 gram lightweights- fit all 4 of our boys(2x cobs, 2 x ID x) and no leaks- the price also includes a detachable neckcover
Another vote for Amigo from me - I have the 600D red one (see signature pic!) and she looks gorgeous in it plus it's possibly the best fitting rug she's ever had. I was worried as she is a Welsh Cob with big shoulders but it fits like a glove and doesn't slip an inch. Very impressed with it especially for the price.
I bought a good one from Ebay seller Rideluk (or similar) it is waterproof outer with fixed neck and fleece lining. With postage it was £28 although I had to bid on about 10 to get it at the price I wanted!
