I'm having trouble trying to find a girth that suits my treeless saddle, can anyone recommend one?

Every one I have tried doesn't seem to hold the saddle in place and it ends up slipping, especially when doing fast work or jumping.

Also, how do I measure for one? (Sorry if this is a silly question!)

I always used a Keiffer neoprene girth on mine - a short dressage length one due to the long girth straps on the treeless, the neoprene sleeve was very good at gripping but also being comfy for the horse.

Some treeless manufacturers recommend the Wintec waffle type girths because they are very grippy and help with stability, but I've found that they can upset some horses because of this. I use padded soft leather dressage girths - the softer the leather the better as it won't move like shiny leather girths.

The other thing you could try is a piece of chamois leather (you can get it in pound shops or car places) placed under the saddle. It warms up and gets very flexible but really helps the saddle to stay in place.
