Please recommend me a quick release tie up rope&where do you put the quick release..

Yes the panic lead ropes, formy 3 yr olds.
Someone tells me that the panic part attaches to the tie ring but I thought it was the head collar too!

I too think it should attach the headcollar - that what I do with mine - but I know some others on our yard attach it to the tie ring. My thinking is that if the horse is frightened and pulling back yes, it will pop off the tie ring but the full rope/clip will swing back with some force and thump the horse on the chest or legs making it panic even more. At least if it pulls away and the rope is still attached to the wall, there's nothing else to make it more frightened.

I had one of those leadropes with a quick release snap on it, my mare was tied to a piece of string and pulled back, the string didnt break neither did the quick release snap leadrope!! She broke the leadrope by ripping it out of the quick release snap, so the rope was still tied to the wall the quick release snap was still on the headcollar which was on the horse who buggered off round the yard!

I have trailer ties and always use the normal clips on the headcollar and safety ones on string to tie rings, as it was pointed out to me if there was a problem chances are the horse would be down so the force of pulling down would release them.

Interesting point!

I have never thought of attaching it to the headcollar. What a sensible idea, thank you!

My youngster panicked while tied. His baling twine didn't snap. His quick release didn't release. He reared up, went down, and finally his headcollar broke! I thought he was going to break his neck! ... I now tie using those elastic snappy thing that really do snap (maybe a bit too easily, but it was a terrifying experience)

i thought with the quick release clips you had to undo them yourself, the weight of the horse pulling back means that you just pull it down and it releases rather than trying to get the horse to stop pulling before releasing.

i used them on my dogs and that's how they always got released, thought it worked the same with the horse ones too.

I use those equi-ties too but they snap quite often so was looking for a reusable something like these quick release snaps but they don't sound too great!
