Vet coming out this morning to see and re-assess my mare who has been out of work for nearly two years due to a suspensory ligament injury.
I think she has improved a lot and is probably only 1/10 lame now, which to me is brilliant. I'm really hoping that she will get to the stage where we can do some light hacking again as she loves going out.
We have done 6 months box rest, hand walking every single day for 6 months, and nearly 18 months of paddock rest. (not to mention about a million pounds spent on vet fees
)
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her as she is my horse of a lifetime.
