Please talk some sense into me!

So the owner watched me have my first lesson with the coblet today and despite a few wahey style canter transitions she's more than happy for me to have her on loan. So from the second week of September I'll be the proud loaner of a beautiful, cheeky coblet :D

Thanks guys! I'm hacking her out alone for the first time tomorrow (will prob drag OH out with me for back up!) so will try to take some pics then :)

Still can't quite believe how perfect she is for me.

As promised here's a few pics of the new girly. Please no cc of me riding as I know my position is pretty pants at the moment.

She looks lovely. I'm sure you'll have lots of good times together. Is the owner letting you ride her through the summer before you take her on loan?

Just read thread! Great thread and so pleased at the ending... she is gorgeous and perfect!

Oh well done. She looks lovely.

Your certainly not to heavy or to tall and you will have loads of fun with her, which is a lot better than having a 16h sports horse just stood in a field.

Thanks guys! She is lovely when she isn't being a little madam but that's part of the fun :)

Gloi - her owner is pregnant so I've been riding her at the weekends whilst they looked for someone to have her on loan but when they realised how much I liked her they said they were happy to wait until after our wedding and let me loan her from September :) so I'm just riding her at the weekends until then. I'm so lucky she's got such an awesome owner.

Yup, you're being outrageous and heightist!

I often wish my girl were a hand higher but then wonder if you would be so brave if she was (and I'm already not that brave to begin with!)

I would cancel the wedding and buy the horse with the funds saved. You are very lucky indeed to find a horse with such an excellent temperament. Buy it now!

Knowing what complications husbands can cause with horsing plans, tack shop purchases, potential lorry viewings, riding holidays etc, I would say just cancel the wedding full stop, even if you don't then buy the horse.

Billie1007 - haha I was indeed. The more I ride her the less I think about her size, that is until she puts in an almighty buck and her neck disappears lol! But as OH has said if she were bigger I'd have further to fall!
