Due to the crap weather I havent had chance to ride this week, and the last few days Ive felt so ill, so sensibly I decided to pop to Keysoe (warm and dry is very appealing) for the CR my mare hasnt seen a course of SJ's since feb, as she was injured jumping. She has only been back jumping for about 6 weeks and has been doing very well.

Arrived and I was the only one, she warmed up ver sensibly, until we started jumping then she got a little excited! She refused the straight in the warm up, so with all the fillers in the main arena I wasnt expecting much. Went in and showed her a filler and she almost freaked out, well started the course and she was bloody brilliant, a little too keen and not always on the best stride (the reason we did a 70cm CR) she didnt look at any of the fillers and felt amazing!!! So gave a massive pat and as there was so few people I walked her around in the arena for a minute and popped her round again, and again another lovely clear!!!

So I am so happy with my poppy pony!!! I really never expected her to be this good!!

And a pic, I know I'm pink (I think its the pic colouring) and my leg needs to be stiller and more forward but she looks good!!!

Thanks

So pleased to have her back jumping, its what she was bred to do and loves doing most, keeping her steady was a challenge, I've never had to use my weight so much lol!!! She thought the fences were too small, but for now Id rather it that way.

Thanks :-)

She is 8, but hasnt been aloud to jump for 8 months this yr (due to injury), this was our first course since feb!! The last lesson I had a week ago was bounces with a spread at the end and I think it really helped her, remember she doesnt need to use speed, she has the power!!!
