Pls help growth on my geldings leg!!!!!

Hey guys..

My 10 yr old gelding has a weird growth on his hind leg on the front of his hock,, He is quite swollen around this area, he is fine in every other way, still eating normally etc, he is a bit stiff on that leg when u 1st bring him out of the stable but fine once he starts walkinh!

I would really appreciate any help as im worrying myself sick and cant afford to get the vet out till the end of the month! Andrea xxx

It is quite peculiar. It looks like a sarcoid but it would seem unusual to have associated swelling in that way. It looks like there's a hairless line running down and through it?
How long has it been there and how rapidly did it appear?

Is there any possibility that he has a thorn or splinter in there? I would have a good feel around the middle of the site and see if there is any foreign body in there. See if your vet will let you pay at the end of the month and give them a ring

Is there any possibility that it is a tic??? I would have a good feel around the area and try soaking it in disinfectant.
