Hi my newfoundland was rushed to the vets at half 1 this morning, the vets ruled out it was anything to do with her heart. She is 4 in january, and they are suspecting pneumonia, scans showed fluid on her lungs so she is now on IV antibiotics and sedated as she is getting distressed.
If anyone has any positive experiences of it then i owuld love to hear what the vets did to you.
Or just sending positive vibes to her x

My dog gets it, infact it is part of his condition that is most dangerous and could kill him, esp if it asperates, I have to manage it very specifically, very strong expensive Ab's and I start at the first sign which is usually a mild cough, I also tap his chest (as demonstrated by the vet) to move the fluid and place him in a steam tent made with a crate, this helps immensley, but then his is because he has megaoesophagus (at present it's fine but did show up enlarged on Xray, so it s amatter of good management, food fed in balls and from a height and water also taken from a height, but we know why he has these problems as he has myasthenia gravis.
Bud has nw had about 4 bouts, in his condition it's rare to survive as many bouts.

Your girls is obs not the same as Buds, but I hope she is ok.

Is her heart ok? what symptoms did she have before taking her in?
Huge vibes for her (vibes) its bloody horrible to watch.

Thanks, well yours sounds much more complicated! She is a bit better this afternoon so far antibiotics are working. They checked heart straight away as our old dog had same symptoms of panting pecking being restless, chocking and generally off.
Thanks for the vibes x
