Are you looking to train yourself, or looking for a trimmer?

If the latter, then I'd always go by reputation of the trimmer above which governing body they're a member of (but obviously they would need to be qualified). One with plenty of hardworking, preferably competing, horses on their books.

If you're looking to study then it's really down to which ethos you identify most with, I suppose. For eg I personally prefer uknhcp.

Thanks for your reply - I am looking for a podiatrist to come out to my horse - I can't find any recommendations in my area (south Worcs/north Glos) so any recommendations would be very much appreciated!

I don't know that area, unfortunately. Hopefully someone else might... Otherwise you could put a post asking for recommendations in the Regional Boards section?
