Poetry about horses do you write it or like it?

Did it hurt like stink?

Ok I write it, but I am not selling it here, just giving you a few to read for free out of my book 'Bits & Bobs' to get you going.
Have fun

and enjoy. Maybe you'd like to put some of yours up for others to see? I knowI love reading them.

JEWEL
I wonder often as I ride,
how sweet love has so much pride,
but then to me Jewel is divine,
this she knows and that's just fine.
I sometimes sit on the grasses green,
remembering how some things have been,
I see as if on screen,
My Jewel is there in glowing sheen.
I see her now in my minds eye,
the gassy bay so full of fire,
her brandy ball eyes so deep and pure,
I cannot fail but to adore.
I know not how or even why,
When with my Jewel I want to cry,
As from the thought of losing her I do shy,
Though still together we will be in the elixir
yet to go by ...

WINGSPAN
I look across a grey blue sky
Hearing my horses call to me
It does not matter where I be
My horses neigh I'll hear you see:
Many have I loved and love
Cells of my blood they have become
From death's door I've taken some
With money more would have come.
The horses slave in years gone by
I'll be the same in time yet to fly
When with a horse my spirits cry
Horses give their love never being sly.
All creatures should have space and land
Nothing can survive locked in a tin can
Live in a box be an also ran
Or be a free spirit on full wing span.

MEMORIES GLOW
True love has inner warmth
Having no logic it gives no reason
Existing though few understand
The love felt and shown
Between the four legged horse
With the two legged human.

It doesn't hurt to try your hand at a bit of thought poetry, just start by doing it from the heart without stoping to think. Sometimes it is handy to write it like you would a song, hum along and just let it all out. You can edit spellings etc after. I have read some wonderful pieces from people who thought they couldn't do it!
