Hope this is alright in here, not strictly hunting but wasn't sure where best to ask!

I understand most of the form on the race card. I've worked out (i think!) for example 3/421-2/4- is the placings, / is for the next year and - means the next season. Please correct me if I am wrong!

So my question is can someone please explain what, for examples sake, this means?? (R5 w1 k:0/9)

TIA!

I don't know much about racing but I just got out an old race card from last year. This part (3/421-2/4-) I'm sure is placings, I think the first number is the previous year, the next number is the current year (so finished 4th, 2nd, 1st) and I think the last number is usually what number the horse wears in the race. A bit unsure what the 2 would be though. Only have 3 groups of number on this card and know the horse so can figure out that it's linked to the above (previous season, current season, race number).

This one (R5 w1 k:0/9) I am really unsure but could R5 mean the horse is running in Race 5? W1 I don't know, possibly a weight category? No idea what the k:0/9 means.

Refused, fifth, withdrawn, first ,K doesnt mean anything as far as I know ,0,got me there as well. slash next season. 9 nineth. Odd!Oh yes, 0 means further back than 9th . Perhaps the K is actualy a B in which case it is Brought down meaning that another horse interfered with its progress and made it fall.
