Hi guys,
Could some of you give me an idea of the fitness and training programs that you use for your pointers? I will admit to being a little ignorant of the whole area. I understand that to qualify for point to pointing a horse must complete 6 days of hunting, staying out until 2.30 and being signed off by the Master. Therefore I assume that the initial fitness program would be very similar to that of a standard hunting horse. Is it then a case of increasing fast work on the gallops? Do any of you use interval training?
