I finally moved my youngster to a yard that does youngstock livery today
Super place where he can live out with other yearlings and 2 year olds. They have an older mare to keep them in check and live out all year. The YO checks them twice a day so he can just concentrate on growing up and I can just do basic handling and grooming. Both the YO and manager said "wow, he's going to be a big lad!" He's 10 months old and 14.3 so we won't be rushing anything with him. Just a relieved and happy post really.
