I told my inner voice to eff off yesterday and its gone away!!!
As regular posters know I have confidence issues and I have only ever owned one horse i my life. My new youngster has decided he has found his feet and was trying it on and was becoming quite a bully to lead. That nasty little voice in my head came creeping back saying I was no good at this, that I would never be able to handle a youngster no matter how easy etc, etc.
Yesterday I took a few deep breaths, went down to his field, had the mother of all arguments without any agression or a raised voice on my part, and in the end, he complied. Today, he was back to the lamb he has been for the last four months.
And that nasty little voice has gone away - at least for now!!
.
Pointless, I know but its a big break through for me to stand up to myself!!
