Just wanted to tell everyone how proud I am of my pony today, and in a small way, proud of myself.
Have brought pony on from a just backed 4 yr old and have been a bit slack on the schooling and just been a happy hacker. After a crazy ride where he charged up another horses behind, we have restricted ourselves to schooling to gain better control on rides. We have now mastered leg yielding, rein back and what I am most proud of, halting with just my seat. Something I have coveted for a couple of years! I am so proud of my boy! Actually ventured out on a hack today and even though a rude farmer roared up our backsides in a tractor with silage trailer on the back, I was pleased with how well my pony behaved as well as how refrained I was from turning back to tractor driver and giving him a holy almighty piece of my mind! A good day all round! I hope everyone else had a good day!
