I am officially at the best yard ever.

These are the things I have found out about Fatty Cob since we moved:

She can jump 1.10 with ease (h/w cob!)
This grass agrees with her and she doesn't colic if she gets her muzzle off!
She can do a nice dressage test.
She can be worked enough not to have to ration her hay and stuff it into tricklenets.
She is very happy when allowed to stomp all over her now loose hay.
She looks amazing without all of that hair.

I am sure there are more things. I was up there doing late hay for all 6 horses and it was wet and cold and blowing a gale and I felt very lucky.

That is all x

Just goes to show that benefits can be found from moving yards! I hope this shows people who are worried about moving that if your gut is telling you to go for it then you probably should!

Before I moved my horse was so unhappy. Constant diarrhoea, box walking, biting other horses walking past, kicking me, cornering me against the wall... then we moved and it's all changed. NORMAL POOS which I'm most excited about, only box walking at times of stress (ie dinner not arriving fast enough!!), no more biting the others and as of yet I've only been kicked once and not been crushed against the wall!

He also happily follows me around off the leadrope, is suddenly extremely cuddly, and even lets my toddler son brush him, and delights my son by nuzzling at his head and bending down far enough to let my son clap his head. My son is delighted by this as you can imagine! Before we moved I didn't really trust my horse with my child so close to him.

These are the changes we have seen in a matter of months, imagine how much better it will get further down the line?

So anyone with a niggling feeling that a move is for the best, it probably is!

We moved eight years ago from a smart livery to a small working farm and have never been happier, and neither have the horses.
