I haven't been on here for a while (on hols), but some of you remember the confidence issues I have been having? Well after 4 weeks of not riding, I was a bit concerned to have my lesson yesterday - but Hugo was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! I think he's had quite a bit of work with good riders while I've been away and the new bit has made such a difference. He was so responsive, lovely bends and so light in the mouth - a real pleasure to ride (made me look good
)
Then today went for a looooooong hack with a friend through open fields. I haven't done that with him before, so we took it real steady and just walked - he was smashing! Didn't even think of bombing off, even when some coloured ponies came to say hello and a pheasant leapt out on us.
Pointless post (and a bit long - sorry!), but I'm just so pleased that we are making progress together. (So to those who thought a green horse plus a green rider were not such a good idea - it can work
I think that is probably down to the good instructor, though)
