My two moved onto their spring/ summer field today, all the rest of the yard are gradually moving too. J got to go out without a rug, and the pair of them looked sooo happy. When I came down later in the day everyone was laughing at J who was flat out snoring just in front of the gate entrance....we were guessing he has that after Sunday dinner feeling.

When do you all swop over? (if indeed you do). Our yard routine is move from knackered winter paddocks around this time of year to start to nibble down the autum winter growth before the spring flush. The winter fields are harrowed etc and then used for hay. Once all they hay has been harvested then we move in preparation for the winter, normally around September. We also have electric fencing so those of us with fatties can strip graze if required.

I was just curious how other yards are managed?
