We've just got back from a lovely 2 week holiday in Marmaris. Can definitely recommend the hotel if anyone is interested pm me.

Anyway, we were sitting in the bar on the beach front and there is a wide path between the hotel and the beach. I heard clip clopping and obviously pricked up my ears! Along came two lovely police horses, very sleek and shiny (this was at night). Both seemed to be very fine TB types, I don't know what breeds they have in Turkey.

But the thing that made us laugh was that there was a man walking along behind them carrying a shovel, broom and some black bin bags! Poor guy, what a job!

It made me think of the recent news story about residents wanting horse riders to clear up behind themselves after riding along the roads. Perhaps we will all have to employ a man with a shovel to follow us on our hacks!

Unfortunately I didn't have my camera to hand at the time and we didn't see them again.

I'm glad to hear they looked in good condition. Unfortunately last time I went to turkey we saw a horse in a terrible state roaming the streets. We fed it corn flakes every day but I hate to think what happend to it.
I hope that man gets paid well for that job!
