Agreed. I've broken up a fair few doggie scuffles at the park by spraying a hose or a water bottle; it saves people dancing around looking stupid, and smaller dogs getting hurt. That, and throwing a blanket over the offenders, is recommended by the most humane of dog trainers.
The kicking is absolutely disgusting, though, and no trainer would ever recommend it.

that made me feel sick. you could tell from the body language of the dogs that they are used to that sort of treatment. they both looked terrified. the sad thing is that they will get a small fine and a ban from keeping dogs for 3 years or something ridiculous.
I hope the two dogs both get lovely new folks who will love them.

No, but a lot of the male police officers I know are only one step away from the thugs they arrest, and no type of behaviour would suprise me quite frankly.

Ok if you say so, the ones I know are all lovely people and wouldn't dream of doing anything like that, although I accept there are bad examples where ever you go. I just thought that was a bit of an unfair sweeping statement.

Well there was the dog training centre a few years ago that was guilty of cruelty so please don't be quite so quick to comment, no-one is suggesting that all police officers are cruel but its not un heard of. I think the problem is that people do expect police officers to have a certain amount of restraint.

And if you read what I actually said I was asking AmyMay if that is what she meant or if she would like to elaborate which she did. I was putting my view across also in that the police officers I know are not like that therefore yes I will be quick to comment if I choose.
