polite hi viz petition

This was well aired on here before, and someone (can't remember who, sorry, but they're a regular/well known poster) explained very clearly the law regarding "impersonating a police officer".

Yes, I appreciate that people may feel that motorists may take more notice of them when wearing the "Polite" hi viz range, but, sorry, I won't be signing the petition.

I feel there is plenty of hi viz which DOESN'T have the Polite logo and which does a good enough job - without possibly causing us as horse riders to come into conflict with the police, plus the high probability of P!ssing off motorists who'll only be taken in just the once.

We don't need it!

See your point....additionally they are now being marketed at motorcyclists...which IMO are more likely to be mistaken for the rozzers than me on daughters hairy 13.3 native.
I have one, bought it well before the furore...will carry on wearing it until it drops to bits because personally I find it useful and IME gets people smiling rather than outraged...I may just live around nice smiley people though :)
