Hi Guys

Has anyone got any experience with Poll Evil? My yearling is poorly at the moment and we think it might be this. Vet has been out twice last week, she was scanned on is on meds and pain relief. She seemed to improve over the weekend but is looking more uncomfortable again today.

Obviously I am in close discussion with my vet but i'm just looking for other peoples opinions/experiences too

She is walking around with her neck/head extended, uncomfortable to move up and down although is grazing happily. She was showing swelling and hot in poll area but this has gone down. Blood tests came back as high white blood cells so indication infection

I have heard surgery may be the only option for poll evil

Look forward to anyone's advice - thank you!

Haven’t heard the term poll evil for decades...in the deep recesses of my memory it’s a deep seated infection..viral..in the neck/poll area treated by antibiotics if possible. Perhaps surgery is a way to flush out the infection ..sorry I’m not much help but I wish you the best of luck.
