Hi I have a 5 year old 14.2 cob cross called Ben!
We've recently had the Chiropracter out as his was out in his pelvis, neck and poll!
We was doing really well back to a happy pony! We had the Chiropracter back out and he was out in his poll again! He had a week off rode him yesterday and he didn't want his poll touched, didn't want his bridle on. He was very tense being ridden, wouldn't relax chomping on the bit and resenting contact and couldn't get him to flex his neck, he also does this weird thing where he puts his head to the side!
He's had his teeth, back and saddle checked which is all fine!
He's just in a standard snaffle bridle with a French link snaffle!
We are possible considering getting him a comfort bridle but not sure which one as there's so many!
Has any one had any experience with issues with poll pressure?
He does have a tilted pelvis, from a suspected fracture from a cart injury as he was with travellers his pelvis doesn't affect him at all and he's evenly muscled! Obviously his poll issue could be a result of the cart injury!
Thanks Sarah

What did your vet recco, before you got the chiropractor out?

If chiro not able to sort, then best go back to vet for their advice as to how to proceed as tilting head when ridden and being very tight is not a good sign.

Hope your vet can get to the bottom of this :)
