Poll please - What's you most pet hate

If anyone bitched about my yard and it got back to me, then I would be more than happy to find them somewhere else to go.

All I ask is that people leave their dogs at home and pay their bills on time (our Innkeepers Act says that we can legally sell a horse at public auction if the bill hasn't been paid after just TWO weeks! ) other than that they can do as they like here.

Haven't come across anythign that irritates me yet at our current yard, but I can think of endless things from previous ones! People leaving heavy rugs on their horses when they are dripping with sweat, not poo picking, taking my stuff without asking, breaking my stuff, taking my horse without asking, injuring it then moaning about her behaviour, children who run riot, gossips, people trying to sell my horse who is not for sale....I'm going to stop now, but it does remind me how glad I am that I left that place!!

Firstly:my liveries don't pay my wages. Secondly:I am not bitching about anyone!!
Thirdly:I was a paying livery for 20 years before I got my own place and all that I put in my poll annoyed me then and it still annoys me today. It actually had nothing to do with being a YO, as most of the questions on my poll can be applied to liveries also.

As it happens, all my liveries DO pay me on time, are very tidy and stick to all the rules so me bitching? Absolutely not!

Yard owners who know EVERYTHING about horses even though by profession they're actually *HAIRDRESSERS/ENGINEERS/PHYSICS TEACHERS (*delete as appropriate).
Just buying some land and a few stables is enough to render them instant experts (despite never even having done DIY for their own horse) who dispense advice to all and sundry....and you can't tell them to P__S off!

I cannot stand it when people dont poo pick.

I do it EVERY sunday when i'm at the yard and when the YO is away the other girls dont bother with it so i'm left to do it all.

i don't like to moan, but seeing as you asked!!

people who never bother with their horses or ride them(usually the teenagers)

and thats about it. other stuff very occasionally bugs me but only one offs our yard is quite a happy place and we all don't really care too much about sweeping etc as long as all the horses are fed and happy and the yard looks tidy enough then off down the pub we go
