My horse seems to be suffering worse this year than in the past. Vet recommended brown Beclemetozone inhaler which I've been using for a week or so now. Does anyone have any recommendations for a supplement to use alongside while I wait the few weeks for it to take effect?

In another thread I posted a couple of weeks ago about antihistamines, someone very helpfully suggested a one- Trinity(?) I think but I can't refind the thread. How about Global Herbs?

Thanks in advance.

Thymus from Folklore Practice in Suffolk. They may be able to make you up something custom made if you discuss with them. PM if you want a contact number.

Use trinity consultants they do supplements on a much more scientific/cellular level.
AH181 will stop any current asthma/allergy type symptoms and candlewick oil is used as prevention. They are brilliant. I think it was me who recommended last time!

My Po is on his second lot of Ventipulmin and another prescribed supplement for his cough and tubes, seems not just me then, told to keep riding him, having tights on his nose helps when riding, but I leave them up for the first few minutes of trot to let him blow out his nose, then put roll them down for the rest of the ride, clink link below for how I fit them if you haven't already seen it, sound not great as filmed on mobile.

Has the vet not recommended ventipulmin while the inhaler gets in their system?

He has a history of gastric problems so vet doesn't want to use Ventipulmin as, apparently, there's a risk of colic with it.

Thanks! Will give them a call today. Are they natural / herbal? How quickly did you find an effect?

Thanks again for the replies. I called Trinity and ordered AH181 and Candlewick oil. They arrived yesterday so I have my fingers crossed that they might help!

Everyone seems to be saying that it's been a bad year for pollen this year. We're hoping to cut our hay this week if the weather holds so that should help too.
