Hi sorry if I posted in wrong section. My pony seems to have pollen allergy. Had vet confirmed that but no advice given really. For past two summers been managing with cleaning around eyes and nostrils and applying Vaseline as well as fly mask (can’t have one with nose net as it irritates him and he will pull it off) I don’t use nose net when ridden for above reason. I have tried local honey, it did help but was very costly. His symptoms are runny, puffy, itchy eyes. He will rub them sore. His nose seems ok no much of the discharge but can be tiny bit runny. Gets hives here and there that come and go. He can head shake a bit but nothing extreme. Is there any supplements/herb I can give him to support him? Thank you

Have you tried human antihistamine? My old boy has suffered for years and unfortunately I've never been able to solve it. Surprisingly he is slightly better now he is retired.

Antihistamines are the way to go , i have bucketloads of them bought in bulk from amazon.

For BB I gave him 25 per day as a loading dose for two weeks and then down to 20 per day.

I bought the hayfever wipes , and i also had a stock of goldeneye ointment, sometimes if it got sticky Id just put some in and it would clear it up.
You get human hayfever barrier ointment for the nostrils and eyes too. Same make as the wipes, highly recommend 😀

I used antihistamines for D when half her face blew up with an insect bite, I can't remember which ones but they were super cheap from home bargains. I'd ask you're vet to suggest one.
