Hi all,
My mare has seasonal head shaking triggered by pollen. Started last month or so when the trees started to pollen.
She becomes very agitated, sensitive around her ears & face & snatches at the reins when being ridden, causing her to trip & me nearly falling several times ! crazy rubbing her head & nose as & when she can especially when we get home & un tack.
In the field she wears a full face & nose fly mask, now has a nose net when ridden, micklem bridle.
We’ve been trying antihistamines 20 twice a day of the certrazine ones for a good 2 months now … I’m not sure I’ve seen a change
Anyway … I started her on Pollenex powder 1 week ago now & I’m pretty sure it’s made a difference very quickly ! She’s definitely no where near as agitated in herself, no rubbing or sensitivity around her head. Just generally nicer to be around
Is it a fluke or can you see a difference that quickly ?!
