Our fields are absolutely full of buttercups. YO wont spray them. *sigh*
Our Welsh x Exmoor has apparently been coughing in the mornings, we have been told by another livery who neglected to tell us for weeks. (one of THOSE liveries) I cant not turn her out, as she'd be the only one in and she screams the place down. Thankfully she'll eat around the buttercups but i cant help but think the buttercups might be causing her coughing?
Has anyone used a supplement for hayfever? if so, what?

Either:

Vasaline on their nostrils,

or I'd try giving her Human Hayfever tablets, the cheap ones from Aldi / Tescos - when my mum's cob got stung by a wasps out hacking last year, he went into shock we phoned the vet straight away and he said to give the horse a whole packet of human hayfever / antihistamine tablets, he ended up with 11, as mum wanted one for her sting ( :p )! He was fine in 20 minutes.

Got to be worth a try

My horse is very sniffly at the moment, she is on a supplement anyway to support her breathing as she has COPD, I've been considering sticking some Vick on her nostrils but I wonder if skin might be a bit sensitive.
