Article on page 6 of this weeks horse and hound....
Not to sure what to make of it, if it really was a case of "a strategic move to try and win the open. Had we played to win in the semi our ponies would have played four hard matches in 10 days".
I don't know the full story but surely this is not much different to our eventers, say, withdrawing midway through a competition, particularly a high profile one like Badminton, to save the horse for a better day???
