Always been a polypad fan. Laziness and they are just so easy. However I couldn't use them on Ziggy (last horse) as he was fairly adamant he liked sheepskin and for his saddle to be too wide (so a Poly Pad type slid back too much). All that type of pad got given away or relegated to dog bed liners!
New horse has been absolutely fine in my remaining Poly pad which I used at first just because its what she'd have been used too and i try and keep things similar at first. Anyhow, tried one of my nice sheepskin pads on her and she made it 110% clear she was not happy about it. The relief when it came off was instant.
So I need a few spares.
I'm not a fan of the PE ones sadly as they are just so massive. I'd prefer a wither shaped one- like the Poly pad forma rather than dog bed square.

Any brands to look at, Im sure I used to have a really nicely spine shaped one that was reversible and wasnt expensive.

They do. I just could do with two and dont want to pay £130!
The Roma ones were about £25 each which is far nicer but think they are discontinued.

I like Polypad Forma too (sorry, don’t want to part with any), and they last ages.
Maybe try eBay / second hand sites? So many people buy things for a horse they then sell or never use on that horse - you might be lucky.
Also, their factory sometimes holds clearance discounts - bought a super duo exercise sheet in fluoro yellow years ago, used loads, still looks fresh and bright with lofty fill.

I have that sheet! It's one of my favourite horse items and has seen me through several horses. Comes out every winter without fail. Its crazy they no longer make them!

Horseware, Premier Equine all do them. My polypad is 30 years old and still going strong.

I don't think they are shaped though. Easy to find plain rectangle but its the wither shaping I'd like.
I think I may go a cheap one like Dorsettladette has mentioned and a proper Polypad for now. i do still have the one I've been using and it still in great condition, as you say they last forever so worth the extra.

Le Mieux work pads are like poly pads but with some shape, and aren't that expensive. You can sometimes get them on Ebay but even buying new isn't too dreadful.
