Is there ANY non vet / natural treatment for these? My Bengal has polyps, the vet has said they will get worse and basically get so bad the only 2 choices I'll have are to have her entire inner ear removed (very invasive) or have her PTS. She has been fine up until recently when Ive noticed her itching her ears nown and again so they are clearly starting to cause irritation. Not badly yet, but they will. I wouldnt put her through surgery to take out her inner ears - the vets hinted it wasnt pleasant, highly invasive and obviously she'd be totally deaf after, I dont think it would be fair to put her through that. So I would have to have her PTS but when she's such a healthy cat in all other ways, it seems like such a stupid thing to have to do this. They have offered no other treatments at all. Does anything exist? Ive tried feeding her golden paste (turmeric) due to its anti-inflammatory nature but no matter how I try, she wont take it. Ear drops would be a nightmare as she can be very volatile with things like this, but I would give it a go if it might actually help.

I only just lost my other very much loved Bengal last month, very suddenly. I cant bare to lose this one as well. Can anyone recommend anything???

Just been through this with my beautiful long haired cat. We had increasing doses of antibiotics, steroids and ear drops but it kept growing. Even when on permanent prednisone it grew. It was horrifically aggressive and most likely malignant at this point. He was booked to see an holistic vet for Friday the 17th July who had been having success treating these with iscador.
He had an app with his own vet for the 15th July which showed the polyp had gone through the eardrum and had trebled in size in six weeks. It was also bleeding continuously. After 14 months of this I made the decision to pts. Poor chap had been through enough and I felt this was the kindest thing to do. I had no idea if the holistic treatment would work or how long it would take to work. But I wish I had looked up holistic vets sooner. There is quite a lot of information on iscador (mistletoe extract ) online. If the growth had been smaller/not growing/not bleeding, I would have tried it in a heartbeat.
Maybe an option you could look into?
I also read an article on the use of cbd oil for these which seemed promising. Good luck.

Unfortunately no, medical management against polyps is ineffective. They must be surgically removed.
Depending on where exactly the polyps are and how large they are, there may be other surgical options available. Would you consider going to a different vet for a 2nd opinion, maybe a specialist? I would not advise put anything down your cats ear without approval of the vets, you could cause a lot more damage. I would get them sorted sooner rather than later though. Sorry you are having to go through this, good luck.
