What sort of ponies are entered in the pony show jumping section of BEF Futurity? What sort of breeding do they have?

I want honest answers please in that I'd like to take my 2 foals from last year, but not sure if I'll get laughed at?! They are out of reg'd NF mares and by Goshka Ringo and were bred at being aimed at show jumping in the future. But I don't want to go and look like a complete fool

See my anwer to being laughed at in the main BEF Futuirty thread which I hope encourages you :-)

As far as sj ponies are concerned, they are are pretty wide group and include not only ponies of continental breeding but also native breeds and their crosses (especially all sections of Welsh plus NFs and Comnemaras) as well as some British Riding Ponies (NPS) and PBAs.

the pony section of the futurity incorporates ponies from all disciplines, there not divided into discipline sections

Friends of mine took their 3/4 Trakehenr 1/4 NF filly the last two years who will eventually be aimed at an eventing career. They also took their pony yearling out of a PBA mare and by Lumes (dressage pony stallion) who also did very well. So I dont think you'll have any problem with your two
