Ponies shot dead

Sounds like some sort of grudge unless it was the owner that has done it, how horrible for the poor mites.

This is how to jump in with both feet!!!

The ponies were shot by a man who 'allegedly' had not been long out of hospital, and not known to the owners. They are absolutely distraught, understandably.

The question EVERYONE should be asking is how someone not long released from 'hospital' could lay their hands on a very powerful rifle, and walk around the countryside with it.

Another wonderful breakdown in communication with mental health workers and firearms licensing?

Totally agree with you.....

Years ago my friends and I regularly complained about a registered alcholic walking about with a loaded shot gun firing it near our horses on the farmland where we kept them, police warned him, eventually he killed the farmer a very close friend of ours ........guns should be banned full stop.

Poor ponies, the owners must be devastated and this didnt happen half from us either, less than 10 miles away..

Please don't believe what the Mail has printed, it is made up. No grudge, just someone with a gun and a problem with life. He also shot a cow belonging to another neighbour. The reporter came sniffing round and I told him nothing, but he has still quoted lies.
Sensational journalists ought to have a pumishment unique to them.

Totally agree, a lot of the article is made up.

I hadn't read anything about a grudge, it was just the way the original statement from the police was worded and yes, I was probably assuming too much (have seen grudge 'damage' before). It is all very sad anyway and the owners must be heartbroken.
