Pony always wants to go faster!

Hi, my friends Welsh Section D always wants to go faster when in trot, we're making progress because she does slow when you ask now but the minute you relax shes off again. Had another horse like this once so was just wondering if anyone had any tips they could give me, do you think if i just really persist with relaxing when shes doing what i ask she might 'click on' eventually?

Our old boy who is late 20's still goes faster than he should, I think its just how some of them are.

Mines the same, in walk and canter he's fine, but when you trot he just wants to do a fast extended trot! I usually let him have a blast for a few minutes, he's usually much better after, and chills out!
