Hi I have a new little rescue pony. He has only been with me for 5/6 weeks. Such a sweet chap, but I've never had a gelding before so not sure what to think. I've noticed over the 4 or 5 few days that he occasionally seems to be flicking his tail and kicking his tummy or sheath. He has been rolling a lot. He either likes mud or maybe this is also a sign. Any advice anyone? Thanks, Rosie

Do the standard health checks (temp, breathing rate, listen for tummy noises)

Have you changed his feed at all?
Has he been pooing normally?

Agree with Sandstone1, it sounds like colic so you need an urgent conversation with a vet.

Yes, as above. Colic or some other internal discomfort.

You say it's been 4-5 days, and occasionally. Is it occsionally but all the time, or come and go in bouts? I'd call the vet anyway, just to be sure.

Sounds like colic, you will need to ring the vet asap. it can be fatal so i would ring now.
As above. Take it seriously. I have also seen this with tapeworm infestation. If he is a rescue pony, do you know his worming history? Hoping you have already wormed him, if not discuss this with the vet.
