My pony's shoulders are starting to get a bit rubbed in his sweet itch rug. I had him clipped and forgot to tell the person clipping him not to clip that area. Before the weather warms up too much I'm thinking about putting a bib on him, to give the hair a chance to grow while he's getting his summer coat. Years ago I bought a Bossy Bib for my last horse. It did a good job but they're now twice as expensive as the ones Shires make. Has anyone used the Shires bibs and, if so, do they prevent rubs?

I've used a Shires bib for my retired lad when he was in full work and clipped - he had to have everything off but was such a sensitive flower that he got rubbed easy.

It did end up tearing but for the sake of the £15 it cost me, I didn't mind too much :)
