There was a thread on here awhile ago about the old "pony books". I'm sure the dedicated know this already but apparently a small publisher, Fidra, is re-releasing some of the classic titles, along with others by well loved authors. Let's hope a whole new generation learns to love them.

I've recently ordered a couple from them supposedly for my daughter and they are wonderful! Its fuelled our appetite so much that I have been ordering a load more second hand books from Amazon and daughter and I can't wait for the next post delivery...have rediscovered Jill, Silver Snaffles and the Pullein-Thompson sisters. they have really encouraged my daughter in the art of true old fashioned horsemanship, caring for your pony and being a good sport at competitions, all of which can be sadly lacking these days. She's starting up a library for her school and pony club friends!

I'll have to get a few of these for my Daughter, she loves her pony books. She's just finished the Pony Club Book series by Stacey Gregg and was completely engrossed in them!

Lovely to see them coming back. As forderough says, good old fashioned horsemanship and manners, both badly needed today so let's hope these help as they certainly showed me the standard of both I needed all those years ago.
Hope they do more Primrose Cummings, she was much under rated IMV.
Badger Books are great for old books too.

Just re-read the first chapter of Jill's Gymkhana from the link provided. Oh the warm lovely feeling - hot choc and a book. Buying a pony for £12 - cand I have two please.
