Yet again it that time of year when minis are off having tons of fun immersed in horsiness for days……. does anywhere do this for adults? It would be a great idea, especially for those like me who didn't start riding till grown up so never had that experience. Some years ago at my old yard we had an adult gymkhana, and it was brilliant! Just the opportunity to work in teams, fling yourself on and off each other's horses, get carried away with cheering, no time for nerves for the nervous etc. All we need is someone with the land and property suitable for an adult camp………. and maybe the concession of a hot tub for old muscles……...

Lots of adult camps out there, my RC do one, thats Hadlow RC in Kent. I am sure if you looked around you'd find local ones to youl I have done a two day mini camp which was fun and informative.

Riding clubs. Some equestrian centers do them, My daughter PC has Parents camp every year, just a couple of days but great fun. You could suggest it, or help to organise one for similar minded PC mums.....

Twin Trees at Northill Beds do adult camps, they are fantastic! They're on Facebook, search Twin Trees Seniors - Rallies and Camps. I've been twice, we have done XC, played games, Trec obstacles, Handy Pony, show jumping, horseball and all swapped round and played on each other's ponies (for those riders and owners who didn't mind). We camp in the field and have a wonderful time. This year I've had to cancel, I'm gutted. They have one on at the moment and have been doing drill riding.

Thanks for all this info - as I am not a pony club mum or an RC member I guess I have missed some of these options. Will def check these out!

Your horse magazine do lots about them and rate them, you may be able to get back copies. Wellington riding also do adult weeks that are brilliant

Ive been to both the BHS camp and the Keysoe one, (going back to Keysoe in September) and they are absolutely brilliant, I've also done one at Quainton Stud in Aylesbury back in March, theirs is a lot quieter (only about 7 people compared to the 40 at Keysoe and BHS camp!) but is good for a horse that might get stressed out if thers loads of horses around

Im off next week to Bobbis Horse camp at Somerford Park, Cheshire. We went last Sept and thoroughly enjoyed it, good laugh, learned lots and jumped a course of jumps which I never thought I would do. Its great and everyone was really nice.
