Ok - so girl on my yard has her C+ test from PC.

She was saying that this allows her to skip certain stages of the BHS ones??

Is that true? and if so where would a C+ put her stage wise??

Just interested as i have a higher PC test pass but didnt do BHS stages

I dont think that it is applicable. I had my C+ test and still had to do my stage 1 riding and stable management and the same with stage 2. Worth contacting the BHS directly to find out straight from the horses mouth! I

No, you can't skip stages with C+ but you can go directly to Stage 3 if you have your full B Test and are still an 'active member' of the Pony Club. You also skip more stages with A Test but I can't remember where you are allowed to enter - either Stage 4 or PTT.

The PC website will have the information you want.

Absolutely right you have to have your B before you can skip any stages. It makes the exam process cheaper. However, the BHS exams are professional qualifications and more daunting than PC or RC tests.

I thought it was B at least.

I will enjoy telling her - stuck up little madam she is!

Also - if you were in the pony club before you turned 21 can you rejoin at 23 say?
Couple of us older (but still children at heart!) are wondering if we can re join?

Claire had her B test so just did her stage 3 and PTT, she then did lots of teaching at pony club and camps and a few friends, also did first aid and child protection so she attained her BHSAI . Then did her H test and A test which meant she only had to do her Intermediate teaching to obtain BHSII but as she doesn't work with horses [ only competes and teaches pony club] she never got round to it.
So PC tests really help and save alot of money

Yes you can rejoin if you have previously been a member but cannot join for the first time (I think????????)

However Associate members can't do Area teams or all sorts of other things.
