Can someone explain to me how people prove they are the allowed ages for competeing in pony clubs or competitions?

For example, i look about 12yo (im actually 23yo) and i can happily ride a 14.2hh without looking too silly but what is to stop people doing this and competeing illegally in classes?

Just came to me when i was reading the post about competing adults on ponies?

My mum makes a very conbvincing 12 year old to. She looks fab on an exmoor.

Pony club is up to 25, and you can ride horses too, but TBH adults wouldn't want to pretend to be in the pony club, but for showing classes there are age/height restrictions for people/ponies, if you get found out you will be eliminated but people do try. Not sure SJ people both trying..

TBH at PC/unaff comoetitions there is nothing I guess! you just state your age on entry form, and unless someone tells on you you could get away with it

For BSJA I *think* you have to send something with proof on of your age when joining

Often the DC needs to sign your entry to prove you are a member and done 3 rallies...... most PC events have adult section and you often find its easier to do well in the adult section than it is in the PC section.
