My arab x pont didn't seem himself tonight when I went to change fields. He kept lifting up his back leg really high as if trying to kick his tummy, at first i thought it may be colic as he has had this before. But then he also seemed really quite lame whn walking around the field. Does anyone know what could be wrong?? Thanks x

just keep an eye on him if its lameness he will either get worse or improve, you could bring him in for a couple of days to see how he is then id call the vet if hes not right.

Might be a long shot... but my horse did this when he had a "bean" in his boys bits... it must have been sore and itchy and he was trying to relieve it by kicking at his sheath..... it did look like he had colic though and took us a while to figure out what was wrong...

He still does it on occasions when his boys bits need a wash!!

It might be worth checking this out if there are no other clues as to what it could be!

But as above, if in doubt call the vet...

Hope its nothing serious...
