I am moving my pony today from yard with 2/3 hours individual turnout to a grass livery with 3 others in a 10 acre field. He will be so happy as he hates being on his own - he has not touched another horse since moving there in mid December! (wasn't made aware he would be so limited so would never have moved him there otherwise!). I will keep a close eye and the other owners will be coming up at regular intervals to check they are all ok - putting him alongside is not an options as he has been known to try and jump in with other (the only problem being - he can't jump
). He used to live in a herd situation and was so happy, so I'm looking forward to the smile on his face once he has settled in.
Also, will give my broken pelvis time to heal, no mucking out, sweeping up etc!
