right W is not eating at the mo...this is due to 2 reasons... 1 our hay is very rich at the moment so shes getting all the goodness she needs out of it (many horses on our yard are stuffed so not eating much feed)
and the second is ive pud Mud X in it (my god it stinks)

she needs to eat the mud X otherwise i wouldnt worry (plus im chucking uneaten feeds away and mud x is £20 for a tenny tiny tub

ive tried bran, molasses, carrotts, mint. nothings working

when i introduced zephyr by global herbs into my mares feed she didnt eat it for 3 days. However i then took it right down and put a tiny sprinkling on each night and really really gradually increased it. about a month on she was eating the full 'dose' fine.

you just need to introduce it really slowly.

If its the mud x and your horse needs it I would try putting it in a syringe and giving it that way like a wormer or as someone said try tiny amount then increase it gradual

What about mixing the Mud X with apple puree and then mixing it with a little bit of feed? Or put the Mud X/apple puree between two slices of bread and see if she will eat that. Or if that doesn't work try syringing the mixture into her mouth like a wormer.

I would get the mud x in liquid form and wash out an older wormer and apply it that way. At least you now for sure she is getting it. Hope this helps

My old guys got wise to but one a piece of bread and refused to eat it cos he knew I was trying posion him. Even the syringe didnt work. Head in the corner and bum pointing towards you, not a agood sign. But honey on a piece of bread worked wonders. A couple of pieces of torn off bread first then some with just honey on and then the honey and bute and finish off with some just honey. Worked a treat!!!!
